For a whole year it has been almost impossible if not impossible to see a doctor.Call reception and get told call111 who tell you to call your doctor,If these doctors have been getting their full salary for a year i would like to know what for.
Yet again, a repeat (but infrequent) prescription for me is sitting at the nearby pharmacy for days without a single notification from the surgery it has been processed! The process for repeat prescriptions is completely broken, a simple text message to confirm it has been processed (not "received by the surgery" as they used to send on the rate occasion, completely useless information as submitted online so of course, it was received, need to know when it is PROCESSED!!)
This review is for Dr Mitchell. She is by far the best Doctor I have ever dealt with. You get the feeling she truly cares about you and she has the most calming manner. During covid she has been a godsend if needed at the end of the phone. Wonderful Doctor and person.
I have been registered with this surgery for a couple of years and the receptionists are the most unhelpful I have ever experienced. They are absolutely dreadful.
They are deliberately unhelpful, and rude. They don't listen, they talk over you when you are trying to discuss an issue. They have no idea how to deal with patients and have no understanding whatsoever. I have not had any difficulties with the GPs but reception staff should be replaced. They are not equipped or intelligent enough to deal with patients. I could give details of numerous incidents, but there are too many.
Not a great experience. Telephone is frequently engaged. When you get through, there's a half minute message before selecting one of 4 options, only to listen to piped music and be told the line is busy so try again later. If you do get through, the receptionists are another barrier before you can talk to anyone. Doctors seem reluctant to do home visits and when you do get them out they only seem to do the minimum
